Traditional Medicines

Why Choose Traditional Medicines ?

Traditional medicines that we are using now include Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Chinese, Ayurvedic, Herbal, Acupuncture and Unani medicine.

Modern medicines have been built on what nature has to offer. Many current Pharmaceuticals are based on these traditional medicines including aspirin, digitalis, metformin, morphine. Aspirin comes from willow bark and was used as an anti- inflammatory in ancient Greece and Egypt. Aspirin was synthesized in 1897 by a German chemist and has been used ever since. Medical plants like hawthorn and foxglove have been used to treat cardiovascular disease.

My interest in traditional medicines started when I studied to be a pharmaceutical technician. I am now pleased to be able to offer a range of complementary medicines for people that want to use a more natural approach to helping themselves.

It is well known that King Charles and the Royal family have used Homeopathy and traditional medicines for many years, his grandmother Queen Victoria was a strong advocate. It is currently widely used worldwide in many countries including India, France, Australia, China, America and the UK.
